Haisley Millar Consulting Group has been providing evidence-based strategic counsel, planning and execution to corporate, government and institutional clients for over ten years. Our focus is on global commercialization, competitiveness and investment/funding issues that impact the successful growth of companies who are developing innovative or emerging technologies.
Our specific areas of expertise are biotechnology/life sciences, clean technology, clean energy and the sustainable environment. David Millar, MBA, President & CEO In a career spanning three decades, David has achieved excellence in the scientific and management fields and now leads a consulting firm that seeks to connect the technology and the business opportunity. He advises clients on key areas such as international trade, economic development, strategic planning, technology-to-market issues, funding and partnering.
“In today’s business environment, major corporations need to partner with small companies to develop new technologies. Small companies bring ideas – major corporations bring the resources to develop and market those ideas. I understand and can bridge that culture gap where everyone wins.”
Haisley Millar would like to welcome two recent additions to our executive team:
Lauren McAdow, MLA, joins us in the position of Vice President – Communications and Sustainability. She is a graduate of Texas A&M University (TAMU) with B.Sc. degrees in Geology and Geophysics. She also holds a College of Architecture Certificate in Health Systems and Design.
Dr. Neil Ross has joined Haisley Millar as VP – Science and Technology. Neil obtained his B.Sc. and Ph.D. in Biochemistry from McGill University (Montreal, QC) and completed his post-doctoral research in a multi-national pharmaceutical research laboratory. Prior to joining Haisley Millar, Neil was Director of Research at the National Research Council (NRC)’s Institute for Marine Biosciences and Lead of the NRC-Industrial Research Assistance Program Bioproducts Sector Team.
Congratulations to Stephen Millar on being selected for a place on the Radiography Diagnostics program at the University of Ulster, NI. This is a prestigious and much sought after program sponsored by the UK National Health Service.
Recent project:
Haisley Millar recently completed an engagement with Memorial University of Newfoundland where we worked with the VP of Research and the Director of the Office of Research Services to review, critique, provide counsel and help develop funding applications for research projects that were submitted to Canada’s Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council. This program is approximately equivalent to the U.S. National Science Foundation program.
“I would like to personally thank you for your work on this project, with a particular note of thanks on how this was executed so independently. As we have discussed, given the volume of applications that ORS had to deal with, it was extremely valuable to be able to rely on you to undertake this project with minimal interjection and engagement from ORS.” Dr. Marlies Rise, Director Office of Research Services, Memorial University of Newfoundland.
